Full and Full+ users can set Tradetool to automatically back up their auctions and sales to the Tradetool backup server. If you move computers or your comuter crashes then your data can be safely restored from the backup server.
Yes, you can simply take a copy of your Tradetool folder and put it on disk or in another location. This folder contains all your Tradetool data so it will all be backed up.
Tradetool does not use any commercially available databases such as Microsoft Access. Tradetool's database system does not rely on a single database file and so it far more robust to corruption - any corruptions that may occur will be isolated and not cause the database to crash losing all your data! This system is much safer than a single database file that can become corrupt easily.
If you are a new customer you can visit the Buy Now page and fill in the form. Your account will be created immediately but you will not have a licence to unlock Tradetool until you have paid for one. You can pay by Credit Card to instantly credit your Tradetool account and unlock Tradetool. If you pay by Bank Transfer/Direct Credit then the licence will not be processed until the payment appears in our account.
You can load auctions just as you would with a paid subscription except that you can not: Request Technical Support. Schedule listings for a date in the future. Have more than 5 auctions prepared in your database. Add more than 1 photo to a prepared auction. Use the multi list or stock control features. Backup your data to the Tradetool onlince backup server. Place Feedback on sold items & answer questions on current auctions. Tradetool Free will alert you if you try to perform an action that is not available.
The Free version is completely Free to use for as long as you like but has limited functionality. The Free version will not expire and if it meets your needs then you are welcome to use it as long as you like :)
No, a feature of Tradetool is that it can manage multiple accounts simultaneously under the one Tradetool licence.
Yes, you can install Tradetool on another computer and it will automatically fetch your licence from the licence server. A Tradetool licence is restricted to a TradeMe account and not a certain number of installations.
Tradetool connects to the Tradetool Licence Server each time you start up. If the server informs your copy of Tradetool that it has a valid licence then your copy of Tradetool will unlock the appropiate features straight away.
Yes, Tradetool supports multiple TradeMe accounts at once meaning you don't have to close the program and muck around. You can simply enable a second or third TradeMe account in the options and switch between the TradeMe accounts using the Profile selector. Yes it really is that easy!
When editing or creating an auction you can specify how many of the item you have to sell in the Tradetool Options box. This number will automatically decrease when items sell.
If you have only one of the item to sell you can select "Relist Until Sold" on the auction Create/Edit form. This will cause Tradetool to automatically relist the auction on TradeMe the first time it appears in your Unsold Items list. It will not relist if the unsold item was withdrawn. If you have multiple items to sell you can schedule them for a certain day/time and give Tradetool a number of days that it should wait before listing the item again. For example if you set it to 7 days between listings then Tradetool would list that auction at the same day/time each week.
Tradetool lets you specify a Product Group when creating or editing an auction. You can then filter your list of prepared auctions to only show a certain product group to make selection easier.
No, there are two ways to get Tradetool to list items on TradeMe. You can select auctions that you have prepared and "List Now" to load them straight away, or you can specify a scheduled date/time and Tradetool will automatically load the auction(s) to TradeMe at that time (Tradetool must be running) without you needing to do anything. This means that you could go away for a week while Tradetool continues to list your auctions for you.
No, Tradetool will list auctions you have prepared but cannot alter Aucitons that are on TradeMe at this time.
No problem, you can import auctions from your Auctionitis database file if you have one or you can import your sold and unsold auctions from TradeMe.
No, TradeMe does not support or endorse any 3rd party software such as Tradetool or Auctionitis.
TradeMe can and do change their website and it can (and does) affect Tradetool. We will update Tradetool as soon as possible if TradeMe makes changes that affect it's operation. Tradetool is designed to automatically cope with small changes in TradeMe but major changes are likely to require an update.
